Brandon Pooler plated pinch runner Scotty Smith on a fielder's choice with one out in the bottom of the 11th inning to lift the top-seeded Auburn Montgomery baseball team to an 8-7 victory over No. 2 seed Keiser and the Opening Round Championship of the Montgomery Bracket Thursday at the AUM Baseball Complex.

AUM names Herlihy as new athletic director

A leader with more than 25 years of experience in athletic administration, including nearly 12 years working at the NCAA Division II level, Jim Herlihy has been named the new Director of Athletics at Auburn University at Montgomery, Chancellor Dr. John G. Veres III announced Wednesday.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - All-American’s Katie Spain and Lauren Shaw hit back-to-back home runs in the first inning and set the tempo for the game from the onset, as the Auburn Montgomery softball team successfully defended its NAIA Softball World Series championship and repeated as the nation’s best team Thursday with a 10-0 victory over Lindsey Wilson at the Jensen Softball Complex.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - Second seed Auburn Montgomery softball team will play for its second straight NAIA National Championship later this week, after it defeated No. 9 seed Concordia (Ore.) 9-0 in five innings late Tuesday evening at the Jensen Softball Complex.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - The No. 2 seed Auburn Montgomery softball team scored four times in the first two innings and Cassie Jones struck out 14, as it remained in the winner’s bracket at the NAIA Softball World Series with a 5-1 victory over No. 3 seed Lindsey Wilson at the Jensen Softball Complex Monday... The Faulkner Eagles held off a late rally to defeat Embry-Riddle in the NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho on Monday.

AUM takes conference title; Faulkner wins series

Auburn Montgomery started fast and hung on for a 6-3 victory in the first game of a doubleheader here Friday afternoon, allowing the Warhawks to capture the Southern States Athletic Conference championship. Faulkner rebounded in Game 2, blasting AUM 17-4 to take two-of-three games in the regular season-ending series at the AUM Baseball Complex.

Faulkner’s Jack Charleston kept Auburn Montgomery without a hit for the first 6 2/3 innings and allowed just one hit in seven scoreless innings, as the Eagles took the championship-deciding Southern States Athletic Conference series opener 8-1 Thursday at the AUM Baseball Complex.
