Blakeney to retire at the end of the season
TROY, Alabama – Legendary Troy University football head coach Larry Blakeney will retire following the conclusion of the 2014 season. Blakeney, who is in his 24th season at Troy, informed his staff and team following Troy’s practice Sunday night.
Blakeney and Athletic Director John Hartwell will hold a press conference Monday at 10 a.m. in the Tine Davis Fieldhouse Auditorium. Select Troy student-athletes will be available to speak to the media beginning at 11:30 a.m. on the fifth floor of the Veterans Memorial Stadium press box tower.
