PRESS PICKS (Week 9): Bama's world suddenly simulates the one on the Plains

It might be a scary thought to some, but Alabama and Auburn are starting to look somewhat alike.
Don’t look at the records. Check out the cracks in the armor. They are beginning to show.
Alabama’s demise the last couple of weeks seem to start at quarterback.
Auburn has been fighting problems at the same position since the start of the season.
Sound familiar?
It might not be that simple. Besides, Jalen Milroe looked like an NFL No. 1 pick after the Georgia game. There were those who said it on national TV that he may have moved to the top of the chart after that performance.
What are they saying about him now?
There are plenty of excuses coming from both fan bases. A few might actually be burning their tickets, even the online ones. But the vitriol may have reached epic proportions last week among Tide fans, who seem fed up with losing… yeah, after just two of them.
But Nick Saban will do that to any fan base.

Kelen DeBoer has been too soft on this team.
Alabama has no discipline.
Alabama doesn’t have the talent we thought.
Alabama doesn’t have leadership.
Jalen Milroe is a cancer on this team.
Anything left out?
The soft “DeBoer” issue is quite laughable, almost as much as the complaints about his sideline attire. There is no doubt that when Bama AD Greg Byrne hired DeBoer, his first question was “what is your preference - collared, T-shirt or bow tie?”
It gets rather silly when considering how fans react to a couple of losses, particularly when that hasn’t happened much in nearly two decades, the amount of cheddar is exhausting.
Sure, get mad. That’s normal. But calling a guy feeble? Come on.
DeBoer is no different than the fans. Newsflash - he wants to win, too. But his system is colliding with the previous one. It’s only natural to have a breakdown and yes, that means a loss or two.
Whether or not he gets this turned around before the end of the season remains to be seen but until then, all of us will have to endure the insanity.
