First-ever River Region Prep Media Day set for Tuesday

River Region high school football teams began practice in earnest on Monday.

On Tuesday, they will all be a part of a first with the 2020 Prep Media Day at Garrett Coliseum.

The event officially kicks off coverage of high school football in the area. All 28 teams from Montgomery, Autauga and Elmore counties are scheduled to be there with each school bringing one player along with the head coach.

The event (closed to the public) will kick off at 10 a.m. and continue into the afternoon hours.

As many as 10 media outlets are confirmed to attend with more than 30 media members expected.

River Region Sports will be on hand with RRS Radio doing a live remote beginning at noon on WTLS Radio, 106.5 FM and on the tunein ap.
