Montgomery Academy 83, Brewbaker Tech 20
Braden Gordon hit 9 of 10 from the field and finished with 20 points as Montgomery Academy rolled into the finals of the Coach Larry Chapman Foundation Tip-Off Tournament with another lopsided victory on Tuesday.
Montgomery Academy (4-0) will play Lee-Scott Academy for the tournament championship on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
Gordon also had five rebounds, two steals, two assists and a block. Skyler Stovall added 17 points, grabbed six rebounds, had eight steals and five assists. Cade Segars added 12 points, grabbed three rebounds and had a pair of steals. Brewer Welch chipped in nine points, grabbed three rebounds, had seven assists and five steals, while DJ Vinson had eight points, grabbed 10 rebounds, had four steals and a pair of blocked shots.
Brew Tech will play Alabama Christian for third place at noon.
Pike Road 61, Prattville Christian 45
Pike Road defeated Prattville Christian 61-45 to advance to the fifth-place game on Wednesday against Marbury at 10:30 a.m.
Justin Chapman led the Panthers with 10 points and eight rebounds, followed by Wade Mora with eight points and five rebounds, Cody Chapman with seven points, seven rebounds and four steals, Murray Wright with seven points and four rebounds and Carter Fiacco with six points, six rebounds, six steals and five assists. Easton Miller scored four points and Sam Wheeler scored three points.
PCA (2-4) will play St. James on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the seventh-place game.
GIRLS
Evangel Christian 40, Morgan Academy 31
SELMA -- Erica Burton scored 14 points to lead the Lions to a 40-31 win over the Senators in Morgan Academy’s Turkey Day Classic on Wednesday in the Morgan Academy gym.
Symone McNeil added 13 points for Evangel (3-2).
