PREP HOOPS: LAMP gets first win; Hooper tops Morgan

LAMP 38, Ellwood Christian 20
SELMA -- Kaylei Mixon led all scorers with 25 points as the Golden Tigers won their first game of the 2024-25 season with a 38-20 win over Ellwood Christian on Monday night.
LAMP sealed the win by holding Ellwood scoreless in the fourth quarter.
The Lady Tigers (1-3) return home to play host to Holtville on Friday night for homecoming.
Hooper Academy 39, Morgan Academy 27
SELMA -- Grace Seale had 19 points, five rebounds and four steals to lead the Colts to a 39-27 win in the Morgan Academy gym on Monday night.
Henlee Garvin added six points and three rebounds, followed by Jade Taylor with five points, four rebounds and an assist and Ashbee Norman with four points, 10 rebounds, three steals and three assists.
Trinity 74, Decatur Heritage 45
PRICEVILLE -- Francie Morris had 23 points, seven rebounds and six assists to lead the Wildcats to a 74-45 win over Decatur Heritage in the Lady Bulldog Classic on Saturday afternoon.
Mya Moskowitz added 18 points, five steals and four rebounds, followed by Ellie Causey with 12 points. Maddie Smith had 10 points, eight assists, four steals and three rebounds.
Trinity (3-2) will return to action on Tuesday with a game at Enterprise before returning home on Thursday to play host to St. James.
Pike Road 60, Marbury 44
PIKE ROAD -- Audrey Blaine led the Patriots with 25 points and 10 rebounds in a 60-44 win over Marbury in the Pike Road gym.
KJ Fencher added 15 points and five rebounds for the Patriots.
Pike Road (2-0) will travel to Clanton on Tuesday to play Chilton County, then to Notasulga on Thursday.
Prattville Christian 62, Chilton County 24
CLANTON -- Jenna McClendon scored 23 points, pulled down 10 rebounds and came up with four steals to lead Prattville Christian to a 62-24 romp over Chilton County on Friday night.
Kayden Carr added 20 points, 12 rebounds and six assists for the Panthers, followed by Ally Blankinchip with 11 points and four assists. Baylee Rogers added three points and four assists. Laney Little scored three points and Leah Cate Wilson grabbed six rebounds.
PCA (3-1) returns home to play host to Greenville on Tuesday.
BOYS
Spain Park 54, Prattville 39
PRATTVILLE -- Spain Park took advantage of a cold-shooting Prattville team to take a double-digit lead at the half on the way to a 54-39 win over the Lions in Powell gym.
Spain Park jumped out to a 9-2 lead at the end of the first quarter and 26-13 at the half as the Lions connected on just 12 of 58 shots (20.7 percent) from the field.
Cameron Lewis led the Lions with 12 points, followed by Xavier Dunn with 11. Jordan Scott had a team-high eight rebounds.
Prattville (2-1) travels to Wetumpka to play the Indians on Tuesday and to Millbrook to play Stanhope Elmore on Friday.
Chilton County 62, Prattville Christian 52
CLANTON -- Cody Chapman had 21 points and seven rebounds for Prattville Christian, but the Panthers fell to the Class 6A Tigers 62-52 on Friday night in the Chilton County gym.
Justin Chapman added nine points and eight rebounds, followed by Ethan Girlie with eight points and five rebounds and Carter Fiacco with eight points and four rebounds. Easton Miller added four points, Wade Mora grabbed five rebounds and Sam Wheeler grabbed four.
PCA (1-1) returns home to host Greenville on Tuesday.
In the junior varsity game, Chilton County defeated PCA 42-23. CJ Robinson led the Panthers with nine points, 10 rebounds and four blocks. Ethan Kiefer scored six points, Murray Wright added five points and 11 rebounds and Easton Carr had three points and six rebounds for PCA (0-2).
St. James 57, Autauga Academy 52
St. James pulled away with a strong fourth quarter to remain unbeaten in a 57-52 win over the Generals on Tuesday in the St. James gym.
Donald Evans led the Trojans with 16 points, followed by Wilson Aman with 10 and Chase Perry with nine.
Damien Dickerson scored 21 points to lead the Generals.
St. James (2-0) will travel to Trinity for a game on Thursday.
Hooper Academy 58, Abbeville Christian 51
HOPE HULL -- Dallas Henderson scored 23 points to help the Colts hold off the Generals 58-51 at Darrell Self Gym on Tuesday.
Henderson had six points in the first quarter to help Hooper to an 18-11 lead, then scored 14 of his 23 points in the second half to maintain the lead on the Generals.
Nolan Cole added 10 points for Hooper.
Ridge Crawford led Abbeville with 15.
Hooper Academy (2-0) travels to Sparta Academy on Friday before returning home to play Snook Christian on Monday.
