Autauga drove to the Bessemer 3-yard line early in the game before Dillan Olvera came up with the fumble recovery for the Rebels to turn back the threat. The Rebels would strike first as P.J. McDonald hit Will Ferrell with a quick pass that turned into a 43-yard touchdown play and a 6-0 lead after the Rebel receiver broke a couple of tackles.

Autauga answered as Will Traywick hit Britton Worrell with a 48-yard pass down the sideline, but a bad snap on the extra-point attempt left the game tied at 6-6.

From there it was all Rebels. Bessemer scored a touchdown two minutes into the second quarter to break the tie, then came back on its next possession with an 11-yard scoring toss from McDonald to Jacob Barry for a 20-6 lead. Autauga would turn it over moments later in the red zone and McDonald came back with another touchdown pass to give the Rebels a 26-6 lead with 6:14 left in the first half.
