PREP UPDATE: PCA, Lee-Scott gets wins in FCA tourney

Prattville Christian 7, Trinity 5
The Panthers held off a late rally to earn the win in the FCA Jason Armstrong Baseball Classic at Riverwalk Stadium on Tuesday.
The Panthers scored four runs in the fifth inning to pull away for the win. Cody Baker had a double and two runs driven in while Jack Diefenderfer had a two-run single.
Bryce Masters had a double and a run for PCA. Blake Bowman was the winning pitcher.
Patton Mitchell had a triple and two RBIs to lead Trinity.
PCA plays Wednesday at 2 p.m. against Brew Tech at Paterson Field. Trinity returns to action on Thursday to face Montgomery Academy at 4 p.m. at Riverwalk Stadium.
Lee-Scott 10, Catholic 8 (12 innings)
Allen Owen’s sacrifice fly drove in a run and another scored on an error to lift Lee-Scott to the win over Catholic in the FCA Jason Armstrong Baseball Classic at Riverwalk Stadium on Tuesday.
Catholic tied the game in the bottom of the seventh to send it to extra innings when Adrian White grounded into a fielder’s choice. The tying run was set up by Will Hickman’s triple.
SOFTBALL
Prattville Christian 12, Stanhope Elmore 5
MILLBROOK - Laura Beth NeSmith was the winning pitcher giving up two hits and striking out 9 batters in five innings. Holley Beth Rollan finished off the last two innings for the Panthers (8-1)
Rollan had a triple and a double with five RBIs.
Saniyah Weaver, Megan Masters and Caralee Janes each had two hits. Sarah Payton Schmidt had two RBIs.
PCA travles to Ohatchee on Saturday to face Ragland, Ohatchee and Jacksonville.
