PRESS PICKS: Can the college football world handle an all-SEC/Big 10 playoff?

What would the world of college football do if the College Football Playoff looked like an SEC-Big 10 tournament?
More than likely, it would not happen but the chance is there with both conferences dominating the early polls.
No matter what Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz says (remarking that teams are playing with Monopoly money or polls don’t mean anything at this moment), the final four of college football will start taking shape in the next few weeks if only due to the Big 10 beating up on each other.
At the moment, the league has four undefeated teams (three in one division) and Ohio State lurking. It’s not out of the question to have Iowa face an undefeated team from the other division in the Big 10 championship game. Even better for them, Ohio State wins the division and beats an undefeated Iowa squad. Do both go?
The expectation is a Bama-Georgia SEC Championship game with both unscathed and it’s a good chance both would get the invite to the dance no matter the outcome.
Yes, it’s too early to talk this trash but be prepared to hear this from all the pundits and remember where you heard it first.
Eventually, there will be an upset or two. You might get one over the weekend. Dare Auburn knock off Georgia or Texas A&M take down Bama? Not likely, but possible.
The possibilities are too numerous to mention (sorry, Oklahoma State, we didn’t forget you). But it looks like somebody might well get two teams in which would get all the interested back to the table for a discussion about the new playoff model.
