PRESS PICKS: Florida, Bama get one more tuneup before championship

Forgive the repeat but congratulations to high school football for completing the season.
Now, let’s do the same with college football.
We can see the end of the tunnel. The light is somewhat faint but we can see it.
The SEC Championship is set. That’s a big plus. It will be a dandy when Alabama and Florida meet Dec. 19.
But let’s get there and complete these games over the weekend. We’ll even give Ohio St a pass if it will guarantee the completion of the season. Besides, isn’t that what the ACC did with Clemson and Notre Dame?
Under normal circumstances, this week’s schedule would be considered anticlimactic considering the schedule. But the same applies that several of these teams will complete a season when it has seemed at times to be impossible for that to happen. So be happy with what we are getting.
The same can be true about playing the game between Ohio State and Michigan. No, this ain’t no jaw dropper but considering where that league is considering the cancellations, you’ll take what you can get.
There was some movement in the standings from last week but Doug Amos actually increased his lead. Michael Butler is now in third and making his way up the charts.
