SEC releases TV times, networks for select football games

Alabama and Auburn will open the season on Sept. 2 and both will garner high-profile slots for television on that day.

The Southeastern Conference released a portion of the television schedule including all of the game times and television networks for each game on Wednesday. CBS did the same a day earlier, announcing that its first game in SEC coverage will come on Sept. 16 when South Carolina vists defending national champion Georgia at 2:30 p.m. CDT.

Auburn faces UMass on Sept. 2 and will be broadcast on ESPN at 2:30 p.m. Alabama gets a prime time slot on the SEC Network when it takes on Middle Tennessee State.

Both teams will be on the ESPN+/SECN + at least once this season. Auburn’s third game of the season on Sept. 16 against Samford will be Internet only while Alabama’s game against Chattanooga on Nov. 18 will also be on the Internet.

Alabama’s game at South Florida (Sept. 16) will be a 2:30 p.m. start on ABC. The game against Texas was announced earlier as a 6 p.m. start on ESPN on Sept. 9.

Auburn’s trip to Cal on Sept. 9 will be broadcast ESPN.
