Second annual River Region Prep Media Day set for Tuesday

While the world continues to return to its normal schedule, football is once again right around the corner, and not a moment too soon.

Teams from the River Region are beginning football workouts this week or next.

On Tuesday, all 27 teams are scheduled to be at the second-annual Prep Media Day at Garrett Coliseum.

The event officially kicks off coverage of high school football in the area. Teams from Montgomery, Autauga and Elmore counties are scheduled to be there with each school bringing two players along with the head coach.

The event (closed to the public) will kick off at 9 a.m. and continue into the afternoon hours.

As many as 10 media outlets are confirmed to attend with more than 30 media members expected.

River Region Sports will be on hand with RRS Radio doing a live remote beginning at noon on WTLS Radio, 106.5 FM and on the tunein ap.
