FCA TOURNEY: Pike Road topples Holtville; MA's big inning aids romp over LAMP

Pike Road 6, Holtville 3
Cody Markham had two triples and scored three times to lead the Patriots to a win over Holtville in the 31st annual FCA Jason Armstrong Memorial Baseball Tournament at Riverwalk Stadium on Wednesday.
Hudson Franks was the winning pitcher, going four innings and allowing just one run on seven hits. He struck out six.
Jackson Fuller, Drew Britton and Runner Stripling each drove in runs for Pike Road.
Drey Barrett had three hits for the Bulldogs while Carson McCutchin and AJ Carreon each had two hits. Kelan Kimbro and Bryce Watson each drove in a run.
Both teams play Thursday in the tournament at Paterson Field. Pike Road faces Alabama Christian while Holtville plays Prattville.
Montgomery Academy 10, LAMP 1
John Allen Jones and Will Hardin had three hits each as part of an 11-hit assault as the Eagles cruised past LAMP 10-1 in the 31st annual FCA Jason Armstrong Memorial Baseball Tournament at Riverwalk Stadium on Wednesday.
The Eagles broke open a 1-1 tie with an eight-run fifth inning.
Jones had a pair of two-out RBI singles, while Hardin added a pair of RBIs. Parker Cook went 1 for 3 with three RBIs, Andrew Hosein went 2 for 4, Rick McBride had a hit and Reid McBride had an RBI single.
Oscar Fiore started for the Eagles and pitched six innings, giving up four hits and a run and striking out three. Hosein pitched the seventh, allowing a hit recording a strikeout.
Montgomery Academy (4-3) wraps up play in the tournament Thursday against Marbury at Paterson Field at 6 p.m.
LAMP plays Brew Tech on Saturday at Paterson Field.
JAG 10, G.W. Carver 3 (6 innings)
Demarion Richmond had two hits including a triple a drove in three runs to lead JAG to a win over Carver in the 31st annual FCA Jason Armstrong Memorial Baseball Tournament at Riverwalk Stadium on Wednesday.
Miking Johnson added a triple and an RBI for JAG. Jadarien McGhee added a triple and a run scored.
Jack Colton led Carver with two hits including a triple and a run scored.
McGhee was the winning pitcher.
Alabama Christian 10, Greenville 1
Mac Moorer went the distance, allowing just four hits as the Eagles defeated Greenville 10-1 in the 31st annual FCA Jason Armstrong Memorial Baseball Tournament at Riverwalk Stadium on Tuesday.
Moorer allowed just one run on four hits while striking out six and walking two.
At the plate, Landon Nelson went 2 for 3 and drove in a pair of runs and Jackson McGuire went 1 for 3 and drove in a pair of runs. Grant Cornette went 1 for 3 and drove in a run and Cam Sutton went 2 for 3 for the Eagles.
Alabama Christian (3-3) will return to action in the tournament on Thursday with a game against Pike Road at Paterson Field at 4 p.m.
