FCA TOURNEY: Andalusia tops MA; Park Crossing earns victory over Julian

Keilan Davis pitched a complete game allowing only two hits and he scored what would be the only run needed in the second inning to allow the Bulldogs a sweep of a doubleheader in the opening day of the FCA Jason Armstrong Memorial Baseball Tournament at Riverwalk Stadium.
Earlier in the day, the Bulldogs defeated Trinity, 8-5.
Davis struck out five batters and walked one to pick up the win. Ware McCollum was the tough-luck losing pitcher for the Eagles. He went four-plus innings allowing just two hits and a single run. He struck out six and walked five.
Rick McBride and John Allen Jones had the only hits for the Eagles. Cade Cassady’s walk forced in the second run for Andalusia in the seventh inning.
MA will play its next game in the tournament on Wednesday at Riverwalk Stadium against LAMP.
Park Crossing 12, P. Julian 6
Jadarion Calloway had three hits and drove in four runs to lead the Thunderbirds to the win over the Phoenix on Monday in the FCA Jason Armstrong Memorial Baseball Tournament at Riverwalk Stadium.
Ashtan Dean had a double and two RBIs while Julius Williams added two hits for PCHS.
John Holman had two hits for Julian and Jamarcus had a double and two runs driven in for the Phoenix. Kadorion Anderson added a triple and a run scored.
Williams was the winning pitcher while Jacobe Shine got the save.
