FRIDAY PREPS: Trinity, PCA, Macon East get non-area wins

Trinity 12, Alabama Christian 6
Ben Easterling went 3 for 4 with a double and a home run, driving in four runs for the Wildcats in a 12-6 win over Alabama Christian at Whittle-Armstrong Field on Friday afternoon.
Jordan Jenkins went 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI, Mac McClinton went 2 for 3 with an RBI and Simmons Byrd went 2 for 4 and scored a pair of runs for the undefeated Wildcats.
Walker McClinton picked up the win on the mound for Trinity (7-0), which is scheduled to return to action on Saturday at Beauregard before traveling to St. James on Monday afternoon.
ACA will return to action next week in the Gulf Coast Classic at Gulf Shores.
Prattville Christian 5, LAMP 0
PRATTVILLE - Prattville Christian’s Edrick Yelder scattered just two hits and struck out 13 in a 5-0 victory over LAMP on Friday afternoon.
Yelder surrendered a first-inning single to Andrew Lutz and a fifth-inning hit to Preston Stephens in the victory. He walked three and hit a batter.
PCA took the lead in the bottom of fourth inning on a two-out single by Yelder and added three runs in the fifth inning before a solo home run by Conner Williams in the sixth provided the final margin.
Williams led the Panthers at the plate, finishing 2-for-2 with a walk, an RBI and two runs scored.
Luke Littlejohn took the loss for the Tigers (8-2), allowing one run and three hits in four innings pitched. He struck out six.
LAMP returns to action on Monday against Holtville at Paterson Field. PCA hosts Jemison on Thursday.
Macon East Academy 15, Crenshaw Christian 2
CECIL -- Barrett Spaeth went 3 for 3 with a double and a stolen base while driving in four runs to help the Knights defeat Crenshaw Christian 15-2 in a game on Friday halted after four innings by the mercy rule.
Logan Wilds was the winning pitcher, pitching 2.1 innings of the four-inning game. Crenshaw managed just two hits in the game.
Jabe Boroff, Will Dekle and Khamani Driver all had one hit and drove in two runs. Camden Bell and Deonte Powell each had one hit and one RBI.
Macon East (15-2) remains home to play Hooper Academy on Monday before traveling to Lowndes Academy on Tuesday.
BOYS TENNIS
Montgomery Academy 8, UMS-Wright 1
Gaines Freeman and Guy Hughes teamed up to win at No. 1 doubles and then won at No. 6 and No. 2 singles, respectively, to lead the Eagles to an 8-1 win over UMS-Wright on Friday at Montgomery Academy’s McLemore Tennis Center.
Also winning singles matches were Whit Davis at No. 1, John Alford at No. 3, Charlie Hill at No. 4 and Jackson Brown at No. 5 to give the Eagles a sweep of the singles action. In addition to Freeman and Hughes, the Eagles also picked up a doubles point from Alford and Brown.
Montgomery Academy (11-1) will be back in action on Tuesday in Columbus, Ga., against Brookstone School.
